The New Racism - Obama and Abortion

Scratch a Liberal, Get a Nazi
First of all, in this encounter, this priest interrupted me twice to make it sound as if I was condoning pro-choice politicians. He twisted my words to make them suit his political agenda. I tried to say, "The Catholic bishops have spoken precisely on the matter, and they condemn anyone who votes pro-choice." What I got out before his rude interjection was, "The Catholic bishops have spoken precisely on the matter, and they condemn anyone who votes . . . "
He thundered back, " . . . anyone who votes exclusively because of their stand on pro-choice politics." He then went on to say that no one really likes abortion - it's a necessary evil. So, let me get it straight - You're only in trouble with the Big Guy when you vote only because a person is pro-choice, ipso facto making you pro-abortion. But, in his view, "No one is pro-abortion." Note the contradiction? In his flawed reasoning, there is no room for sin because "the individual's conscience is the noblest thing involved in the abortion debate." Flawed logic all the way around, and built on rude interjections.
So, what made this priest, let's call him "Joe," react this way, shouting me down for the sake of his personal views?
It's ego.
Every single liberal, without exception, who does not permit the other side to voice its opinion (i.e. Joan Sobala, Nancy DeRycke, Barrack Obama) places more value in the "I" than the "we." A parishioner from St. Anne emailed me once with a "Me-Tally." In this tally, he counted the use of "I," "me," "my," and "mine," over 120 times in one of Joan's homilies. I think we find similar trends in the rhetoric of Prez Obama.
Note also how, when a genuine liberal is opposed, they turn vicious, playing dirty, unfair, and immorally. When parishioners confront these schismatic lay administraitors (TM), who always wins? The lay administrator. Without exception. These women claim the authority of the Church, while at the same time showing a complete rejection of this same authority. The same goes for this priest who declared, "I profess and love everything the Church teaches, and that's why I voted for Barrack Obama."
Liberals claim to be the abstract thinkers, the people who explore every alternative etc. However, they are closed minded and shallow, dealing in twisted absolutes and their own alter realities. Sure, you have to care for this unwilling mother, but not by letting her murder her child. That's ludicrous. In a similar way, liberals fail to grasp anything beside the present. "We now have health-care reform." Yes, we do, but in several years we will be crippled by debt and financial burdens.
Liberals put up this "nicey-nice" facade, but the instant you see through it and challenge their delusions, they turn, quite literally, into Nazis, imposing limitations on what you can and can't do (politically and liturgically).
Seeing as how this post in itself is a "scratch" to a liberal, I'm not going to have free commenting. They can't help themselves. For this one item, any comments you wish to make should be directed to me at cleansingfire@live.com.
See? Conservatives value free speech. We tell you when and for how long there will be a limitation. Try posting a comment at grosswirth.blogspot.com - see how far you get. So much for dialogue, eh?

The Treachery of a Nun, and a New Sidebar Feature
"So," thought I, "why is she getting one of these metaphorical pieces of silver?President Obama will sign the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act at 11:15 A.M. EST.You can watch it live at the White House web site.Jake Tapper reports that the president will use 20 pens to sign the bill, and that one each will go to POTUS will Democratic Senators Reid, Durbin, Baucus, Harkin, and Dodd; along with Representatives Pelosi, Hoyer, Clyburn, Miller, Waxman, Levin, Dingell, and Rangel. Pens will also go to Vice-President Biden, H&HS SecretarySebelius White House legislative affairs assistant Phil Schiliro, WhiteHouse health policy chief Nancy-Ann DeParle, Vicki Kennedy, and Sr. Carol Keehan.
The American Papist has the answer.
And, so, this brings me to the new Sidebar feature. It will be on the right (as is everything else on this blog), and will be titled, "Behold The Ranks of Judas." In it will be listed those Catholics who, though they profess to be truly Catholic, aren't. I will not presume to judge their motives or their souls - that's for God. I will, however, judge their actions. Judging actions is not the same thing as judging an individual, so do not comment here or anywhere saying, "You lack charity," "Love your enemies," "Judge not lest ye be judged." I'm getting tired of these faith-based phrases being twisted by the liberals into traps for those who defend the Faith. The last pen he used, reports Daniel Foster, will be given to Sister Carol Keehan, president and CEO of the Catholic Health Association.Sr. Keehan, as most of you know, was a staunch ally of the Democrat efforts to push through their health care reform. She issued press releases on behalf of her organization asking representatives in Congress to pass the legislation, even without including abortion funding fixes (which they did). She met with Obama personally several days before the final vote in Congress, she contacted individual congressmen and assuaged their conscience that they could vote for the bill as-is, etc.
I will also refrain from putting anyone on this list who may be personally offended. We all know each other well enough, so there's no need to point fingers at others and ourselves. This is for the Church Universal, not the Church Rochesterian.

Error Is Not Homeless
One minute later, he declared, "Even if Obama were from Mars, I would have still voted for him over John McCain."
Let us pray for our priests, that they find the courage to stand up for all people, not just those who want the choice to murder others.

While We're In the Mood
A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them were Obama fans.
Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Little Johnny.
The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different... again.
Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan."
The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Obama?" Johnny said, "Because I'm a Republican."
The teacher asked him why he's a Republican. Little Johnny answered, "Well, my Mom's a Republican and my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican."
Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "If your mom were a moron and your dad were an idiot, what would that make you?"
With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "That would make me an Obama fan."

Crozier Smack @ President Obama
President Barack Obama entered the pantheon of Nobel Prize winners Thursday with humble words, acknowledging his own few accomplishments while delivering a robust defense of war and promising to use the prestigious award to "reach for the world that ought to be."
"Ought to be." This reminds me of a scene from Hamlet, in which Hamlet declares to his mother, "Seems, madame? Nay, it is. I know not 'seems.'" However, in this case it could be written, "Ought to be, sir? Nay, it is not. I know not 'ought to be.'"
The world is inhabited by mankind (and womankind, and childkind, and in-betweenkind). Mankind (etc.) is inherently sinful. Therefore, an ideal world, the world which "ought to be," cannot exist until the coming of the Messiah.

Obama Signs 'Hate-Crimes' Bill Into Law
A "hate crimes" bill opponents claim will be used to crack down on Christian speech, even the reading of the Bible, was signed into law today by President Obama.
The Senate approved the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act by a vote of 68-29 on Oct. 22 after Democrats strategically attached it to a "must-pass" $680 billion defense appropriations plan.
Most Republicans, although normally strong supporters of the U.S. military, opposed the bill because it hands out federal money to states and local governments in pursuit of "preventing" hate crimes. The bill creates federal protections and privileges for homosexuals and other alternative lifestyles but denies those protections to other groups of citizens.
Obama signed the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act at a White House ceremony today. Prior to signing the act into law, Obama spoke briefly of the hate crimes bill.
"After more than a decade, we've passed inclusive hate-crimes legislation to help protect our citizens from violence based on what they look like, who they love, how they pray or who they are," he said. "I promised Judy Shepard when she saw me in the Oval Office that this day would come, and I'm glad that she and her husband, Dennis, could join us for this event. I'm also honored to have the family of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy who fought so hard for this legislation. I just want you all to know how proud we are of the work that Ted did to help make this day possible."
American Family Association President Tim Wildmon warned that the new law "creates a kind of caste system in law enforcement, where the perverse thing is that people who engage in non-normative sexual behavior will have more legal protection than heterosexuals. This kind of inequality before the law is simply un-American."
Wildmon said the legislation creates possible situations where pastors may be arrested if their sermons on sexuality can be linked in even the remotest way to acts of violence.
"It threatens free speech and freedom of religion and is totally unacceptable," he said.
As WND reported, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder admitted a homosexual activist who is attacked following a Christian minister's sermon about homosexuality would be protected by the proposed federal law, but a minister attacked by a homosexual wouldn't be.
The Alliance Defense Fund blasted the "hate-crimes" bill, calling it "another nail in the coffin of the First Amendment."
"All violent crimes are hate crimes, and all crime victims deserve equal justice," ADF Senior Legal Counsel Erik Stanley said in a statement. "This law is a grave threat to the First Amendment because it provides special penalties based on what people think, feel, or believe. ADF will be on the front line to defend those whose free speech or free exercise of religion rights are violated by this unconstitutional law and to ultimately overturn this attack on freedom."
Opponents point to cases in Canada and Sweden, where Christians have faced criminal prosecution for preaching that homosexual behavior is a sin.
"ADF has clearly seen the evidence of where 'hate crimes' legislation leads when it has been tried around the world: It paves the way for the criminalization of speech that is not deemed 'politically correct,'" Stanley explained. "'Hate crimes' laws fly in the face of the underlying purpose of the First Amendment, which was designed specifically to protect unpopular speech."
Stanley said such crimes are already punishable under existing federal, state and local laws.
"Bills of this sort are designed to forward a political agenda and silence critics, not combat actual crime," he said. "The bottom line is that we do not need a law that creates second-class victims in America and that gives the government the opportunity to ignore the First Amendment."
Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, testified before Congress against the hate crimes bill in 2007.
"It is fundamentally unjust for the government to treat some crime victims more favorably than others, just because they are homosexual or transsexual," Dacus said. "This bill is an unnecessary federal intrusion into state law enforcement authority, and it is an unwise step toward silencing religious and moral viewpoints."
He said the adoption of hate crimes legislation has led to widespread suppression of speech deemed politically incorrect. The Pacific Justice Institute noted that in California, hate crimes laws are commonly invoked as a basis for further laws pushing acceptance of homosexuality in public schools and the workplace. The group also warned that use of "hate speech" terminology is also now being employed by minority religious groups in America to encourage suppression of free speech, as a prominent Hindu group called on Congress and major Internet service providers to shut down websites critical of Hinduism, including websites of Christian mission organizations.
The Pacific Justice Institute pledged to come to defend anyone who is prosecuted under the new hate crimes law because of their religious expression.
Liberty Counsel litigation counsel Matt Krause told WND, "It's a very sad day for America and for religious liberties in general."
He said the law will not deter crime or help the law-enforcement system.
"The only thing it will do is silence and scare Christians and religious organizations," Krause said. "It will penalize thoughts and actions, and it will not stop crime. It should be called the 'thought-crimes' bill."
He continued, "We encourage pastors and church leaders to keep doing what they're doing and preach the gospel. If they run into any barriers, they can contact us because we are ready and willing to defend them in any way we need to."
The White House announced it will host a reception this evening to commemorate the enactment of the hate crimes legislation. Obama's remarks will be aired live on the White House website.

How Could We Have Missed This?
_______________________
As he headed back home from Washington, Gordon Brown must have rummaged through his party bag with disappointment.
Because all he got was a set of DVDs. Barack Obama, the leader of the world's richest country, gave the Prime Minister a box set of 25 classic American films - a gift about as exciting as a pair of socks.
Mr Brown is not thought to be a film buff, and his reaction to the box set is unknown. But it didn't really compare to the thoughtful presents he had brought along with him.
![]()
Marking the special relationship: The Browns put a lot of thought into their gifts for the Obamas - but the gesture did not seem to be reciprocated
The Prime Minister gave Mr Obama an ornamental pen holder made from the timbers of the Victorian anti-slave ship HMS Gannet.
The unique present delighted Mr Obama because oak from the Gannet's sister ship, HMS Resolute, was carved to make a desk that has sat in the Oval Office in the White House since 1880.
Mr Brown also handed over a framed commission for HMS Resolute and a first edition of the seven-volume biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert.
In addition, Mr Brown and his wife showered gifts on the Obama children giving Sasha and Malia an outfit each from Topshop and six children's books by British authors which are shortly to be published in America.
In return, the Obamas gave the Browns two models of the presidential helicopter, Marine One, to take home to sons Fraser and John.
![]()
Mrs Brown has been praised for her well-chosen gifts for the Obama children - but Mrs Obama's gift to the Brown children appeared less thoughtful
The Prime Minister has not had the best of luck when receiving gifts from U.S. presidents.
He was given a fur-trimmed brown leather bomber jacket by George W. Bush during his first trip to America in the summer of 2007.
Commentators gleefully pointed out that the garment was hardly in keeping with Mr Brown's usual sober attire of business suit and tie.
Downing Street yesterday refused to state which movies were in the box set.
But the Mail has learned it included classics such as Star Wars, The Godfather and Citizen Kane and was produced by the American Film Institute as a 'special request' for the White House last month.

Perhaps pertinently, given Britain is floundering in an economic slump, the DVD collection was thought to feature the movie of John Steinbeck's Great Depression novel, 'The Grapes Of Wrath'.
The gift also included the Oscar-winning boxing biopic 'Raging Bull' starring Robert Di Nero and Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller Psycho - maybe a comment on the PM's notorious short fuse?
And he will hope that at a General Election the British public do not shun his imploration for another term in office by thinking at the ballot box of the famous line from another of the movies, Casblanca: 'Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.'
But following Mr Brown's his recent troubles - the UK entering recession, soaring job losses and home repossessions, Labour struggling in the polls and threats of leadership challenges - he may be pleased at being able to settle down for a quiet night in front of the ultimate feel-good movie: It's A Wonderful Life.

Nobel Peace Prize
It must be that they awarded it to him because of the peace a child finds in her mother's womb. Or perhaps the peace the Iraqi people find when the US removes their protective barrier of military might. Perhaps it was even awarded because of the peace that gay couples will receive when they are married at the altar. Another possibility is the peace we will find when we lose our monetary security to socialized medicine.
I think not.

To award this prize to President Obama is to give a seemingly world-wide stamp of approval to his programs and goals. "Nobel Prize Committee Says 'Yes' to FOCA." I should think that if Nobel himself were still alive, he would be appalled that the Nobel Peace Prize fell to leftist Americans two times in the past few years. He would not have stood for trumped-up "evidence" for man-made global warming, nor would he have stood for massacre of unborn children for the sake of personal choice. Anyone who says that Mother Theresa is on the same level of "peace-making" as President Obama is suffering from a massive delusion and evasion of reality.
For this reason, Cleansing Fire now declares the Nobel Prize Committee under interdict. Let them be anathema.

Why Socialism Fails
From a friend:
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before,
but had once failed an entire class.
--------------------------------------------
That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK,
we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering,
blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Big "O" Bombs Out
Anyways, it's true. Look at the following from facebook:
Do you approve or disappove of Obama's job in office?
Strongly approve 22,661 (17.5%)
Approve 13,216 (10.2%)
Neutral / no opinion 3,905 (3.0%)
Disapprove 13,761 (10.6%)
Strongly disapprove 76,219 (58.7%)
That's 59% of people on facebook saying he's doing a lousy job. And facebook is most decidedly not a "conservative" or "traditional" institution. It looks like the youth and tech-savy adults have spoken.
To Bishop Clark, From His Humble Servants:
These verses, written in your crumbling sty,
Proclaim the faith that I have held and hold,
And publish that in which I mean to die."
