Conservativism: Truth With Humor

From a local bulletin:

October 7th is the feast of the Most Holy Rosary
which, in a sense, is a major celebration for
us because the title Our Lady of Victory was
bestowed on the Most Holy Virgin by Pope St.
Pius V for her intercession at the Battle of Lepanto,
in which the Christian forces conquered
and routed the Turks and thus saved Europe
from Moslem invasion. Our Lady of Victory is
also known as Our Lady of the Rosary because
it was by means of the Rosary that victory was
achieved in that famous naval battle. We ask
her powerful and never failing intercession for
our country and for the noble men and women
of the armed forces who protect us at all times
and who often receive vilification by liberal nut
jobs whose libel is protected by the very forces
who fight for our freedom of speech! God bless
them and keep our world in peace, through the
protection of Our Lady of Victory.
