A diocesan history snippet
In 1851, Bishop Timon of Buffalo appointed, as pastor of St. Peter's Church (it later became Saints Peter and Paul's when it moved to West Main Street), Father Francis Xavier Krautbauer, who later became bishop of Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was Bishop from 1875 to 1885.
