Absolutely Austrian Month Begins Today
On this, the Feast of the Epiphany, it is only fitting that we begin a look at someone who laid countless gifts of beauty at the feet of Our Lord, present in the Most Blessed Sacrament: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. We begin with a majestic recording of his Coronation Mass, K. 317. This is the same setting of the Mass which was so masterfully orchestrated at Our Lady of Victory-St. Joseph's Parish this past Easter Vigil. It was glorious, and I was lucky to be in attendance.
This recording, though, is one which is very special. It was recorded in 1985 on the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, inside St. Peter's Basilica, at a real Mass, and with Pope John Paul II presiding. Enjoy.

To Bishop Clark, From His Humble Servants:
"Prince of degredations, bought and sold,
These verses, written in your crumbling sty,
Proclaim the faith that I have held and hold,
And publish that in which I mean to die."
