A Belated Smack

I have been moved to make a belated smack of the miter to . . .

Google's "Ad Sense."

When I decided to place it on the blog, the disclaimer said that only appropriate ads would be placed on the blog. And, for the first few days, this was true. Ads for online Catholic stores, online Bible study classes etc . . . However, this morning's ad was for a free sample of a Trojan condom.

Not only has "Ad Sense" been miter-smacked, it has been excommunicated.

On to the article...

I never even noticed there were ads before until I tried out the blog in Explorer the other day for the first time. Thank you, Firefox, AdBlock is truly a Godsend!

The miter isn't for smacking, it's for nodding! lol Oh noes!

Dr K -- Yes, I still plan to write and also figure out how to use the text editor, but I have been preoccupied with some corporal works of mercy for some very old and dear friends. I haven't been around much.

I'm not sure what was worse the condom ads or the ads for Jeff Anderson, anti catholic sex abuse lawyer.

Thank you for your civility, Ray. It's something so many people seem to lack recently.

Regarding the so called miter-smack: I chose my words deliberately. You see, if you smack a computer (google) with a massive wooden stick, bad things happen. However, when you smack it with a piece of cloth/stiff cardboard/bejeweled velvet, you get your frustration out without destroying the computer.

So my verdict remains the same: miter-smack and excommunication.

Huh? Doesn't Ray Grosswirth have a blogger account? Why would he be posting using "anonymous" then?

Also, I thought this man is a workaholic who never takes time off. What is he doing posting at 2:38 in the afternoon on a workday?

Not Grosswirth if you ask me.

I have just talked with Ray, and it is his comment at 2:38.

Thank you for your concern. I hate false-identities more than anyone.

Do you pray to your God with that mouth, anonymous?

I bet the Lord would find much more fault with you.

Anonymous, why are you wasting everyone's time? Go away and be happy, and we can be happy too.

"Prince of degredations, bought and sold,
These verses, written in your crumbling sty,
Proclaim the faith that I have held and hold,
And publish that in which I mean to die."
