Rochester is not the Church. One backwards bishop shouldn't make you lose hope - in fact, it should strengthen your resolve. We are blessed to be suffering these things, for we will celebrate orthodoxy with such indescribable joy once this reign ends.
I'm not sure I agree with his premise that we should care what people's intentions are. Certainly it's good to understand in a general sense that there are people whose intent it is to destroy. But as far as determining that on a case-by-case basis - that's ultimately God's job. I certainly agree that people should be yanked if they aren't teaching orthodoxy, but why do we need to determine their intent (so long as they claim a good intention).
I think this is important to distinguish because there are people with good intentions who are inadvertently destroying the church and they don't even know it. If our message is, "you are evil and trying to destroy the Church", then how can we expect them to listen to us?
We need to stick to objectives. Once we bring in the subjective - we lose.
just my opinion - while realcatholictv makes some good points, it's overly sensationalistic and cheapens the orthodox argument.
I agree with you Gen, that we shouldn't lose faith and should consider ourselves blessed for our sufferings.

I should clarify what I meant.
When I read the article, "Why Doesn't the Pope Do Something about "Bad" Bishops?", it seems pretty clear to me that if Fr. Johansen is correct, no matter how much letter writing, blogging, etc. is done on this end, our Pope is not going to do anything about the situation here in Rochester.
Most bishops haven't lost entire parishes to heretical priests and nuns, i.e. Spiritus Christi. Most bishops also know where to draw the line - looks like Bishop Clark wants to pull-vault across it with his recent book and appointments, i.e. Brogan, Sobala, DeRycke, Mack.
No other bishop, to my knowledge, has done so much harm and been so public about it.
