Sticks and Stones

"You cannot please both God and the world at the same time, They are utterly opposed to each other in their thoughts, their desires, and their actions."- St. John Vianney

Well, that's been made perfectly plain in recent days, what with a sudden onslaught of anti-Cleansing Fire, anti-Magisterial, anti-Tradition posts by various people at various locations too diverse and too obscure to mention here. However, I think we should just meditate for a while on the message St. John Vianney has for us there.

If you're clueless as to the comments that were passed, consider yourself blessed.

Well, as they say, "onward and upward."

Blessed here as well. I never read the puke of apostates but from what I understand of CleansingFire articles, they tend to elicit reactions similar to those of vampires dowsed with holy water. Very telling indeed, I must say! Powerful thing TRUTH.

I found some whining over at one of the blogs that includes the comment "what do you expect from a bunch of MEN"

*EYEROLL*

I've also seen some griping about how we're all hypocrites...only to have the author find out that she...erm...doesn't know the rubrics as well as she thinks she does

*EYEROLL*

I contend that some of us practice GREAT QUANTITIES of Christian Charity...

I wanted to comment on many of the posts on a few blogs "WAH! WAH! I'm a whiny little baby! WAH! Pay attention to me! WAH! WAH!"...you know, just so I'd fit in with everybody else who was commenting them...but I didnt

see how charitable I can be?

You mean they don't know that half the comments that make them rend their Liz Claibornes are made by women? hahaha That's funny. Sad but still funny.

I can't find this in the local blogs

Whose blog are you speaking of?

To Bishop Clark, From His Humble Servants:

"Prince of degredations, bought and sold,
These verses, written in your crumbling sty,
Proclaim the faith that I have held and hold,
And publish that in which I mean to die."
